Chile Verde
Description
This recipe is one of my favorite hispanic dishes. It's very simple to make at home with just 4 ingredients! The result is tender chunks of pork in a delicious green salsa. This dish is often served with hispanic rice and beans.
Ingredients
- Pork stew meat
- 1 cup of water
- Oil(I use grapeseed oil)
- 1 bottle of Herdez Salsa Verde(Can be found at your local grocery store)
Steps
- Heat up your pan until hot then drizzle in some oil.
- After the oil is heated up, place your pork stew meat in the pan and sear until flesh color disappears.
- Add in the 1 cup of water and cover your pan with a lid to let simmer for 45-60 minutes while stirring every 10-15 minutes.(You can simmer for longer if you want your pork really tender.)
- Drain the water out and then pour in your salsa verde. Let the meat simmer in the salsa for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy.
